Christian, Muslim, School or University, Sports Club, work colleague, Friend. Frequently, we meet people who have a faith based on Abraham the Ancient Patriarch. Building friendship and dialogue with colleagues should be courteous and kind.
Do you want to be a real friend? Witnessing is a potential pathway to friendship. This workshop will help you discover how you can witness and build authentic relationships with Muslims! Your witness should be characterized by respect, hospitality and fascinating dialogue that develops inquisitive interest. Muslims respect people of faith.
Our trainers are people with decades of experience building bridges of friendship with Muslims. The Qur’an contains a Surah 5:68. It encourages Muslims to engage with the ‘People of the Book’. Be a good example of a ‘Person of the Book’ by considering approaches that will ignite great conversations. The Injil (Gospels), Zabur (Psalms) and the Tawrat (Pentateuch) are all referred to in the Qur’an as holy books.
Surah 5:46 states: ‘We sent Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming the Law (Tawrat) that had come before him, we sent him the Gospel (Injil), therein is guidance and light and confirmation of the Law’.
Surah 42:25 teaches Muslims that ‘Allah is the One who accepts repentance from His Servants and forgives sins, and He knows all that we do.’
These Qur’anic verses (ayat) build bridges between Muslims and Christians. Become a bridge builder. Explore the ‘Straight Path’ together.
